A regular bus service is on offer (about every 30 minutes) to the hotel beach club is free. Playa del Carmen and the shopping center is about 2-3 km. Cancun airport 50 km, the transfer time is approximately 60 minutes.

The hotel comprises a main building and one-to three-storey residential buildings. Nestled in a 25 000 m² garden the Riu lupita offers a lobby with sitting area, Internet room, kiosk / souvenir shop, main restaurant “Adelita” with Non smoking area and terrace, Mexican Restaurant “Maria Bonita” and snack bar “Panchito” at the pool. The extensive garden, the sun terrace are two swimming pools and separate children’s pool and pool bar “Tequila”. Sun beds, towels and umbrellas by the pool are included. On the beach, palm trees give shade, and beach chairs are included here. The beach bar “Cozumel” is also at your disposal.

“The Lupita is a rather quiet, small hotel in a very idyllic setting it’s all very well maintained. It consists of about 20 bungalows, each with about 10 rooms. It is a slightly older hotel, but one whose condition is A1. It is fully in line with the Riu-standard in the Caribbean. On arrival at the lobby to check in you get a bracelet for the all inclusive. All the staff speak English and were happy to help us practice our beginners Spanish. The layout of the bungalows is very good, so that from all rooms it’s just a short way to the pool, restaurant and lobby. There are three pools available. The main pool where the animation takes place, which is absolutely is not intrusive. If you want peace and quiet you still get a smile and will be left alone. Furthermore, in addition to the main pool bar and restaurant. Another quiet pool is located a few metres between the bungalows in the beautiful garden. This is a great pool to relax with sun loungers and hammocks. At all the pools and the beach there was always enough beds available. The Kids Club has a children’s pool. The guests are of different nationalities and age mixed.
The beach of the Lupita can be reached by a shuttle bus that runs every half hour. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes. It conveys a real Caribbean feel. The bus will always open doors and the driver is always playing Caribbean music. Great fun. The beach here is very good. In the upper area are palm trees that give shade throughout the day. In the lower part you have sunshine. Something for everyone. At the beach you get chilled drinks and from noon until about three O clock you can also a lot of very good snacks.
If you get off the shuttle bus at the first stop you can walk in about 5 minutes to the pedestrian area of Playa del Carmen (5th Avenue) where all Souvenir shops etc are. No need for a taxi.”
